The Sunday Baths is a Self Titled collection of nine experimental dreampop recordings, all recorded on the same crappy Tascam four-track over a period of about ten years. Al Albers plays everything on the album (except for percussion and weird noises by his friend Jason Bertsch on Track 6). Topic: Shoegazer Source: BedroomBrain Records - http://www.bedroombrain.com/
From their album, Faintly Acquainted Drone Dimension have the ability to transport you to Dreamland (yes, the place where we put together all these mp3 releases) Just kidding! But their blend of blissed out droning guitars, whispered vocals and percussive blasts are right up there with the best of the shoegazers. Unfortunately the band called it quits not long after this ep was released. ( 4 reviews ) Topic: Shoegazer
From the opening rising swell of hazy feedback to the closing cadence of shimmering, guitar noise, this second release from A Beautiful Machine is a hallucinogenic ride through reverb-drenched atmospheres, abrasive-yet-lush guitars and spaced-out, lethargic vocals. Solar Winds.. takes the ABM sound of noisy, post-shoegaze dream rock far further than hinted at in the debut self titled release, embracing a wide range of moods and sounds, crafting dark & dreamy odes to folly, love, loss and... Kurrel the Raven whisks us off to a universe of emotive drones, reverb-soaked guitars, and space owls. The appropriately named Blissblaster EP defines epic shoegazing (or should that be stargazing?) for the netlabel generation. ( 2 reviews ) Topics: Electronic, Ambient, Shoegazer
Opening with the sound of guitars performing a slow-motion launch over some alien sea, the third album from A Beautiful Machine picks up from where Solar Winds.. left off, taking the obsessions with deep space and the ocean to darker, deeper, noisier depths. From detuned wall of guitar noise to shimmering, soaring deep space rock, Home is a unique post-rock sonic journey. Topics: Post-Rock, Shoegazer Source: Embryo Recordings
The latest release from ABM comes in the form of this collection of five bittersweet songs to love, loss and passing time, combining droning guitars with reverb-drenched feedback ambience and soft, lethargic vocals. Another Time serves as the end of a musical era for this project, although far from ending, this Ep provides a fitting coda, whilst simultaneously opening the way for the next era of musical progression for A Beautiful Machine.. The debut album of repetition/distract reveals sheer beauty. Full of strange noises, drones, post-rock-influences, feedback and ambient soundscapes, it sometimes makes "darkside" look like a sissy. Get out those headphones and turn the lights off. The songs on "Recordings 07/2004 - 05/2005" are of a laid-back deepness that is hardly to be found in electronic music at all. When listening to the organic shifts, it's sometimes hard to believe that the whole piece was programmed... Topic: postrock, drones, dark, rock, shoegazer

Groovy, hard hitting abstract electronica in the first track, One Over. The soundtrack to a missed bus. Staring at the Stars is a passionate, moody collision between shoegazer alt-rock and synth-laden electro-pop, reminiscent of both Radiohead and The Cure. Ron Cavagnaro sings sincerely about life, love, and spirit from his home in Rochester, New York. "Music Box" spent five months in the all-time top ten charts on Knobtweakers.net (January - May, 2005), among more established artists like Bjork, Tweaker (NIN's Chris Vrenna), and His Name is Alive. EVERYBODY LOVES IRENE With spare-backing tracks and emotional yet wrenching vocal, EVERYBODY LOVES IRENE play music for times when ecstasy wears off and the tingle becomes a chill. It's a dance noir for those too world-weary to move. EVERYBODY LOVES IRENE's music might sound like seen as a really unhappy world. On its creative process, it admits that it is mostly inspired by some talented musicians like Portishead, Emiliana Torrini, Goldfrapp, Air, Mono, Sneaker Pimps, Anjali, Radiohead, Sigur...
